Prepare a New Braunfels-Area Cleanup Before You Call

A smooth cleanup starts before you book. Organize the project into material, volume, labor, access, timing, and uncertain items so the provider can give a current answer.
Write the job in one sentence
Begin with the outcome: “clear the garage before a move,” “remove approved contents from a vacant unit,” “collect renovation debris while we work,” or “assess a shed for small demolition.” That sentence points toward the right service. A roll-off dumpster is self-loaded and supports work that unfolds over time. Junk removal centers the labor of carrying items away. Eviction cleanouts add authorization and inventory boundaries. Small demolition adds a structure, utility questions, material risks, and a specific finish.
Next, define the work area. List rooms, exterior zones, storage spaces, or project phases. Mark what is not included. If several people are making decisions, choose one authorized contact. Move valuables, documents, keys, medication, photographs, and keep-items away from the removal zone. For an eviction or estate-related job, settle authority and any required storage or notice questions before a hauling company arrives. RJE provides site services; it should not be asked to make ownership or legal decisions.
Create a material inventory
Sort the load into categories that affect handling: household furniture, bagged clutter, boxed items, wood, metal, yard material, renovation debris, roofing, concrete, brick, soil, appliances, electronics, tires, batteries, paint, liquids, chemicals, medical material, and unknown containers. Estimate volume with photos and simple counts of the largest pieces. Identify the heaviest material separately. A pile of bulky furniture and a pile of broken concrete can occupy similar space but create very different loading and weight decisions.
Electronics, televisions, refrigerators, and other appliances may need special handling. Keep uncertain items separate, label them, and request a current answer. Do not put chemicals, liquids, batteries, or hidden restricted material inside bags or drawers. If material may contain asbestos or another hazard, stop and use the appropriate qualified assessment or disposal route rather than treating it as ordinary cleanup debris.
Photograph access as carefully as the pile
Take one set of photos of the material and another set of the route. Show the street approach, drive, turns, gates, overhead wires or branches, slopes, surface, parked vehicles, loading area, and proposed container location. Measure any tight gate or opening. Note stairs, elevators, long carries, narrow hallways, shared drives, security controls, dock rules, and property-management requirements. Keep the pickup route in mind; a container that can be delivered today still needs to be reached later.
If the proposed location is in a street, alley, sidewalk, fire lane, right-of-way, shared area, or controlled parking lot, ask the relevant local authority or property manager what permission is required. The City of New Braunfels says its municipal dumpster-rental program is suspended and private permitted haulers currently handle rentals. Confirm any provider documentation or placement requirement directly with RJE and the authority responsible for the property. Request any documentation the property or law requires directly.
Questions to ask before you book
For a dumpster, ask which 16-, 20-, or 25-yard option fits, what material is accepted, and how delivery and pickup will work. Prices are set by size: 16-yard $425 for 3 days or $475 for 7 days; 20-yard $550 for 10 days or $800 for 30 days; 25-yard $650 for 10 days or $975 for 30 days. Extra days are $25 per day and extra weight is $100 per ton. Ask RJE about material rules for the container you choose; the price is the listed price for that size and rental period.
For full-service junk removal, ask what rooms and items are included, how labor and carry conditions are reflected, what must be separated, how added items change the quote, and what condition marks completion. For small demolition, add utility status, attachment points, permits, hazardous-material questions, debris removal, foundation or anchor treatment, and final surface condition. For commercial work, add security, occupants, service entrances, loading rules, and the handoff contact.
Make the call with a complete packet
Have the address, project sentence, area list, item inventory, photos, access notes, preferred timing, and approval constraints ready. That packet helps RJE determine whether the address and work fit available service. It also gives you a record for comparing the final scope with what you originally described. If the project changes after the quote, update RJE before service rather than waiting until the vehicle arrives.
RJE serves New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Cibolo, Schertz, San Marcos, Seguin, Bulverde, and Wimberley through dedicated town coverage. Exact address availability remains a call-confirmed detail.
